Fraser Fir
The Fraser Fir has a dark green foliage with excellent needle retention. It grows in a natural “Christmas tree” shape which requires very little pruning to maintain. This is one of our most popular trees because of its strong branches!
Douglas fir
The Douglas Fir is another popular Christmas tree. This tree has short, sturdy needles that are capable of holding heavier ornaments. The dark or blue green needles have a sweet fragrance when crushed.
Tree Recycling
Please remember that our trees are planted as an agricultural crop. They are meant to be harvested, just like corn or vegetables. While the trees are growing they control soil erosion, provide oxygen for people, and habitats for wildlife. At the end of the Christmas season, your tree can be used for bird feeders, chipped for mulch, or recycled into newsprint or other paper products.

Tree Care Tips
When a Christmas tree is cut, over half of its weight is water. With proper care, you can maintain the quality of your displayed tree. Below are lots of tips relating to the care of cut trees:
Make a fresh cut to remove at least ¼” of the base of the trunk.
Place the tree in water immediately after making the fresh cut.
Use a stand with an adequate water holding capacity.
Keep trees away from sources of heat (fireplaces, heaters, heat vents).
The temperature of the water used to fill the stand is not important.
Drilling a hole in the base of the trunk does not improve water uptake.
Always keep the stand filled with water – do not let the tree go dry
Inspect light sets before placing on tree. Do not use sets with worn or frayed wires.
Always turn off the lights when leaving the house or when going to bed.
Recycle your tree after enjoying it during the holidays.
